First of all, I would like to welcome all of you to the Chinese New Year Gathering organised by Soon Heng Society dan Chinese community leaders, with the support of Resident Office and Rukun Tetangga Bandar Sri Aman.

I sincerely thank and welcome all of you, especially YB Datuk Francis, who representing YAB Ketua Menteri Sarawak, YB Datuk Masir Kujat, Yang berusaha Tuan Residen, fellow heads of department, community leaders, NGOs leaders to the launching ceremony of Sri Aman Division Level Cap Goh Mei Festival. We planned to invite CM to be with us, but due to other commitment, YAB DATUK PATINGGI (DR) ABANG HAJI ABDUL RAHMAN ZOHARI is unable to be with us, and assigning our beloved YB Datuk Francis representing him. We hope there will be good news from YAB CM for us in Sri Aman.

Beginning tonight until the real Cap Goh Mei, on 2 Mac, this stage is for the peoples of Simanggang to show their talents. Many youngsters started presenting themselves here decades ago, and now they are figure of their field beyond Simanggang. For example the “Heart to heart” group and they return to organised a state level Pop Dance battle on this stage last year. The event successfully attracted a lot of participants. This coming 28 February, they will organise it again, and expected participants from overseas to join. A local non-Chinese performance group- Anak Seni Benak SImanggang Dancers for the first time will join us. This is the spirit of Cap Goh Mei that Soon Heng Society hold since century ago. Soon Heng intend to promote Cap Goh Mei festival as the socio cultural trade mark of Sri Aman, especially the Cap Goh Mei procession. Our slogan is “come and watch Cap Goh Mei procession in Simanggang”.

Ciyun Temple is the heart of Soon Heng Society and the Chinese community in Sri Aman, as well. On this opportunity, I would to express our appreciation to the late beloved CM, Tok Nan who had agreed our temple extension projects. We hope YAB Abang Jo will assist us to materialize the project, in line with the development project of Batang Lupar riverside. We are very happy when the local government initiated night market next to our temple. By having night market, we believe more and more cultural activities can be organised then.

Lastly, I would like to express heartfelt thanks to various parties who have assisted us to make this festival a success. Thank you. Happy new year.

首先，我感谢大家出席由成邦江顺兴公会主办，配合华人社区领袖，并在省公署及斯里阿曼睦邻委员会配合下举行的春节团拜及元宵盛会推展礼。我谨此祝贺大家新年和谐、万事如意。

同时，我也要感谢与欢迎大家，特别是主宾砂拉越州首席部长的代表州社区和谐部拿督法兰吉斯哈丁助理部长、联邦内政部拿督马西副部长、省长、政府长官、各族社区与社团领袖出席今晚的元宵盛会推展礼。今年，我们尝试邀请首席部长出席本会的团拜，由于时间的冲突首席部长不能赴会，但他还是委派了助理部长代表出席，这是我们的荣誉。我再次致以谢意，并希望首长能为盛会带来好消息。

从今晚到元宵节，此舞台将呈献精彩节目。目的是营造节庆的欢喜气氛，娱神娱人娱众生，普天同庆，更提供空间于本地学校、社团、歌舞团发挥，进而体现本会所主办的百年元宵游神盛会的内在精神。难得的是，非华族团体也开始积极参与演出，例如一个以马来同胞为主的“成邦江梦娜艺者”的组别将在初十晚上做全晚的演出。这舞台也正迈向国际，heart to heart组合去年的十三夜晚全砂斗舞，已得海外舞者关注。

慈云阁庙是我们社区的人文中心，顺兴公会通过多方面的努力落实这个概念，并希望能通过适当的途径把慈云阁推到国际平台。我要特别表扬已故首长的爽快答应土地供慈云阁进行扩充计划，计划正在进行中。我们希望阿邦佐首长将通过鲁巴河滨公园发展计划协助我们落实它。

元宵盛会，尤其是其游神盛会已成为成邦江的品牌之一。我们希望打造元宵游神盛会为成邦江的人文品牌。我希望每一位成邦江人能以此为荣，积极参与，共同推动，让这项以顺兴为首的盛会能办得一年比一年好。

最后，我代表公会向各界人士致谢，并祝大家新正如意，平安。“十五暝，来成邦江看营阿娘”。
