First of all, I would like to welcome all of you to the
Chinese New Year Gathering organised by Soon Heng Society, with the support of
Resident Office. CNY Gathering in the form of open house is a tradition of Soon
Heng, as we believe that this is more community-friendly.
I also sincerely thank and welcome all of you, especially YB
Tuan Masir Kujat, Yang berusaha Tuan Residen, fellow heads of department,
community leaders, NGOs leaders to the launching ceremony of Sri Aman Division
Level Cap Goh Mei Festival, jointly organised by The Resident Office and
Simanggang Soon Heng Society, which we had started since 2010.
Begins from tonight until the real Cap Goh Mei, on 11
February, this stage is for you. Various schools, NGOs and local performance
groups will show their talents here. Many of them start growing their talents
here decades ago, and now they are figure of their field beyond Simanggang.
This is the hope and spirit of Cap Goh Mei that Soon Heng Society hold since
century ago.
Development is a continuous and systemic process, which
requires total involvement of various parties and segments in a community. With
this principle, Soon Heng Society had continuously served for community culture
and education development since 123 years ago. The year 2016 can consider a
fruitful year for Soon Heng, with the support of local community, YBs and the
government sectors, we manage to upgrade the temple by located a 27 feet Double-face
Guanyin statue in our temple (which is the first and only double-face Guanyin
in the state, we hope this will become landmark for Sri Aman and able to
attract tourists come over to Sri Aman. We also build up an air-cond. hall at
the ground floor of temple and a new hut to locate more deities. All this are
in line with our mission to better-serve the locals. All this projects, cost us
about 800k.
Taking this opportunity, I would to thank YB Masir Kujat for
allocating us RM60k, YB Datuk Francis RM75k last year. Your sincere support is
really meaningful for us and raise the confident and commitment of Soon Heng
members to work hard in future. We hope both YBs will continue to assist us in
future.
Besides, I would to express our appreciation to the late
beloved CM, Tok Nan who had agreed our temple extension projects. We are now in
the process of materialize the project.
Lastly, I would like to express heartfelt thanks to various
parties who have assisted us to make this festival a success. Thank you. Happy
new year.
首先，我感谢大家出席由成邦江顺兴公会主办，并在省公署配合下举行的春节团拜。开放门户式的团拜是顺兴公会一直以来坚持的传统，我们认为这更具草根味道及亲近群众与埠民。我谨此祝贺大家新年快乐、万事如意。
同时，我也要感谢与欢迎大家，特别是主宾联邦内政部马西副部长、省长、政府长官、各族社区与社团领袖出席今晚的元宵盛会推展礼。从今晚到元宵节，此舞台将呈献精彩节目。目的是营造节庆的欢喜气氛，娱神娱人娱众生，普天同庆，更提供空间于本地学校、社团、歌舞团发挥，进而体现本会所主办的百年元宵游神盛会的内在精神。
各位，地方的进步是须要各方面各司其职，扮演各自的角色，按部就班来成全的。顺兴公会百年以来就坚守立场，为传统文化、族群教育与地方建设而努力。2016年是顺兴的丰收年，在各方面的配合下，我们成功为慈云阁进行多项的提升工程，其中包括安奉了砂州首尊双面观音圣像、在慈云阁庙底建冷气礼堂、设地主爷亭、安奉更多地神明。这一切都是为了更好的服务社区，及把慈云阁庙提升为社区的人文中心。
趁此机会，我要特别感谢本区国州议员及民众长期以来的支持。今晚的主办马西副内长，去年就拨了六万、法兰吉斯助理部长7万5千，我要代表公会向他们致以崇高谢意。他们的协助给予我们许多信心，让我们更有把握的前进。
除此，我要特别表扬已故首长的爽快答应土地供慈云阁进行扩充计划，计划正在进行中，希望日后得到大家的支持来完成我们共同的千秋大业。
元宵盛会，尤其是其游神盛会已成为成邦江的品牌之一。我希望每一位成邦江人能以此为荣，积极参与，共同推动，让这项以顺兴为首的盛会能办得一年比一年好。
最后，我代表公会向各界人士致谢，并祝大家新正如意，平安。
