成邦江顺兴公会慈云阁观音圣像洒净动土奠基大典主席讲稿

大家好。今早我以欢喜的心情出席慈云阁观音圣像洒净动土奠基大典，这表示本会安奉巨型观音圣像计划的实现越来越近了。我相信大家还记得今年4月23日，在本会的122周年晚会上，我们隆重推介观音像基金，计划安奉18尺观音像。后来，因缘殊胜，理事会更在特别机缘下决定更改计划，把18尺观音像计划提升为25尺双面观音圣像。

我们的目的单纯，就是想营造慈云阁的人文气息，弘扬观音的慈悲教诲，即将安奉的25尺双面观音圣像相信是州内首尊类似圣像。此“新”计划意料耗资50万，在观音像基金推介后，本区的州议员兼乡村经济（内陆）部及种植部助理部长拿督法兰吉斯哈丁及国会议员兼联邦内政部副部长马喜古扎答应各拨5万，多名护法大德也落力支持，他们当中部分受邀主持联合动土礼。我要代表公会特别感谢他们，希望更多的朋友将发心捐献，让我们在今年内落实此计划。

今早，我要特别感谢沈桂贤部长在百忙中拨冗出席主持奠基礼，我要代表公会祝贺他新任部长与感谢他过去与我们的友好关系。我也感谢拿督法兰吉斯二十多年来对我们的支持与信任，协助我们落实各项计划，尤其是在州选前协助我们取得庙侧83点土地。我们希望这两位代议士政途顺利，好好为民谋利。对于首席部长在4月9日批准庙侧83点土地，我再次表示谢意。

最后，真的是因缘殊胜能得到慧海大和尚与众师父的莅临，为大典主持洒净、诵经与祈福，并在昨晚弘法开示，确是增长成邦江人的慧根。顺兴公会只是秉承先人教诲，为地方与街坊做些小好事，还望各位大德指正。

I am glad to be with all of you in the occasion of our Guanyin Statue earth cleansing, breaking and foundation stone lying ceremony. I also glad to announce that Soon Heng Society decided to upgrade the project from 18 feet statue to 25 feet double-faces Guanyin Statue. It is believe to be the first double-faces outdoor Guanyin Statue in the state. Our intention is clear- that’s to make Ciyun Temple not only the landmark, but also focus of peoples all around the state.

Taking this opportunity, I would like to express our sincere thanks to both YB Datuk Francis Harden anak Hollis and YB Tuan Masir who had agreed to allocate RM50k to the Guanyin Fund on 23rd April. Special appreciations also go to those donors who giving us great support and enable this project going to materialize soonest. Some of them will join us in the earth breaking ceremony later.

We also would like to thank the state newly appointed Local Government Minister, YB Senator Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian who able to be with us this morning to host the ceremony. He is a good friend of Soon Heng since he decided to involve in politics and serve the peoples, I believe he will be with us for this Guanyin Statue project. With this opportunity, once again I would like to thank the State Government, YAB Chief Minister and YB Datuk Francis, who had approved for the land lots beside our temple to us.

Lastly, this is a most excellence karma to have the honourable Venerable Hui Hai and fellow monks from Faji Shan to host our ceremony this morning, I believed every one of us will be blessed through the ritual ceremony, and the most important is more fund will come in, therefore our Soon Heng’s dream will materialize soonest.
