今晚我感到非常的荣幸与感恩，因为有机会与大家分享与欢庆顺兴公会慈云阁122周年纪念，并为慈云阁新计划-18尺观音像基金举办推介礼。顺兴公会是何等的荣幸能在过去122年来得到各方善缘的扶持，风雨并肩，让我们成长，坚强为社区做点工作。在此，我谨向顺兴公会的先辈、朋友、伙伴们致敬与表达我们衷心的感谢。我希望大家在阿娘与诸神的庇佑下皆平安、如意。
顺兴公会是一个非常具代表性的本土民间组织，慈云阁更是大部分民众的信仰中心，我们的会员涵盖广东籍各属，但我们的朋友与伙伴却突破这个定义，各方言群的同胞、乃至于友族同胞也参与及扶持我们的教育、慈善及文化工作。其中，本届州选国阵候选人拿督法兰吉斯哈丁长久以来即是我们的好朋友及好伙伴！
这个晚会更是一个好例子，我们成功聚集近1500名各族同胞朋友的到来，他们乐意自掏腰包购买餐卷或捐献观音像基金，为的就是与我们共庆122周年纪念及见证观音像基金推介礼，协助慈云阁开拓新的里程碑，为成邦江及鲁巴河畔建立新地标，为地方发展做点工作。设立观音像及增安奉多位神明是本会近期的工作之一，我们在这三五年内会极力完成类似的工作，除了发挥民间信仰的作用，也以达到以庙养庙的目的。
原本我们计划设宴122席，但是公众、朋友与伙伴们善缘滚滚来，结果我们一共设了146席。各方大德，成邦江及邻近城镇的社团、庙宇、神坛，政府长官、各族群领导皆赏脸赴会。我再次向大家致敬，并请大家给予自己一个掌声。我特此感谢大家对我们的肯定，并希望与大家建立永久的情谊，在未来的日子继续与我们同行前进。
籍此机会向大家报告，顺兴公会已为慈云阁拟定了一个长远计划，即在本阁两侧建公园，并在阁前河畔建行人桥，以美化及防河岸受梦娜侵塴，计划耗资达600万。此计划已在4月9日通过本区州议员拿督法兰吉斯哈丁助理部长的安排面呈阿德南首长，得到首长的认同，即席批准本阁两侧83点土地于本会，落实我们的长远计划。他也对我们的行人桥计划深感兴趣。在此我要特别感谢州议员及首长对我们的认同及给予我们的协助，我认为这就是我们应该支持的执政团队。
在这122年的历史中，顺兴公会该是本区最能及最具代表性的历史见证者。顺兴公会及鲁巴河畔的慈云阁见证、历经与参与成邦江的成长与发展。百多年来，顺兴公司的先辈得到官方的配合成就了中华公学、慈善社、华人墓山等的建设，也协助官方度过一些难关，如三任甲必丹郑胜钦借款让布洛克政权发薪给当时的公务员；陈松财、郑赵鈿等在二战结束时协助英殖民政府平息实胶朗（Skrang）达雅人事件，陈宗明、陈孔洲等在1983年火烧埠时的积极赈灾协助商家重建商店，这些官民合作的记载，是顺兴历史长河中重要的段落。籍此盛会，我代表公会向这些杰出的先辈致敬。
顺兴先辈的经验给予了我们重要的教诲，即通过内部团结，尽力结合各方力量，完成大志。今天的顺兴公会当秉承先人大志，继续推动与加强官民合作，为成邦江谋最大的福利。这也是慈悲娘娘与观音菩萨信仰的大我终极教诲。我们的庙宇从简陋的锌屋到今天的规模，靠的是大家默默的工作，并在官方的扶持下实现的，不是靠一些口号或情绪就可完成的，官方的支援让我们更稳固及具信心。
官民合作的基础建立于妥善的沟通与互动，这点是当前顺兴公会的强点。我们的领导层当中有多位官委社区领袖，我们可以充分利用这管道来协助会员、民众从政府单位得到大家应得的利便。民心、民声也可以通过我们向官方表达，因为晚近几年本会已在官方竖立了应有的形象，而我们也正继续努力扮演这个角色。
这20多年来，我们见证了成邦江各方面的发展，商业中心的建设、食水供应的提升、新市镇的发展、爱丽丝堡的维修、河畔公园首期工程的完成是我们在市区可看到的发展。乡区的园丘发展、Stumbin砂州稻米仓库计划，乡区水电供应、道路提升等都在进行着。跨鲁巴河大桥、替代道路等也正在策划中。这一些，都是本区州议员拿督法兰吉斯哈丁，过去默默耕耘的成绩。这是法兰吉斯的个性与处事方式，不炫耀，做本分。这也促使我们顺兴公会最能与他配合，因为我们是工作的民间组织。个人认为，这也是首席部长一早就把他纳入阿德南团队的主要因素。
在我担任主席的这两年内，拿督法兰吉斯哈丁协助我们取得了15万慈云阁提升经费、并成功在4月9日安排我们会见阿德南首长，提呈慈云阁未来发展计划，获首长亲笔批准慈云阁两侧83点土地于顺兴公会。每一年，他也悄悄的送来发展金，协助我们推动活动，例如2015年8万元活动基金，2016年2万5千元宵盛会基金，这些都是年度拨款。本会属下成邦江幼稚园也每年获得办学经费。总的来说，他是关心、乐意协助选区内的每个阶层。众多华团、华小（虽然不在他的选区内）、教会也取得他的发展金。重点在于互相配合，这是为人处事最基本的条件。
法兰吉斯绝对是一个难得的代议士，他有着很多政治人物缺乏的特征，如低调、平易近人、容纳各方意见、随和、肯工作、清廉。我肯定在场的朋友们也有同感。结合当前阿德南团队有利砂拉越自主的大气候，我们就齐心接纳这个已经在阿德南团队内的成员，成为我们在5月7日的选择，以肯定他过去给予我们的协助，并希望未来他继续给予我们更大更全面的支援，尤其是顺兴公会还有很多须要动用更大更多资源的计划。我希望大家慎重考虑这一点，做出正确的选择，让成邦江持续前进，不要为了一时情绪耽误了家乡五年的前进。
最后，我希望大家继续给予观音像基金协助，与顺兴并肩早日实现这项心愿，这是慈云阁自1993年新宫落成后的首个大计划。同时，希望大家在5月7日有个理智的抉择。谢谢大家。

First of all I would like to welcome everybody, especially,
YB Tuan Masir Kujat and YB Datuk Francis who able to join us, almost 1500
publics of multi ethnics in Sri Aman in the occasion of Simanggang Soon Heng
Society 122th anniversary and launching of Guanyin Fund raising campaign.

Be the chairman of Soon Heng, I have the honour
to present to all of you the most historic and representable Chinese community
NGO. We are historic as we already 122 years old. We are representable, even
our members are only consists of those originate from Kwangtung province of
China, but we have friends, partners and supporters from various dialects and
races community. The ability of gathered 1500 peoples here is the evidence.

In this occasion, we would like to express our
sincere appreciation to our ancestors, friends from various sectors,
government, peoples representatives who had always assist, support and grow
with us. Both YBs, are good example of this, as they are good friends, partners
and supporters of us.

At the same time, we would like to raise as much
as fund to materialize our dream to have a Guanyin (God of mercy) statue beside
our temple, as the project costing about 300k. This is part of our temple
future projection to become the landmark of Sri Aman and self-generate income
for future development.

Learning from our ancestors, who had form the
society since 1894, in order to survive and progress, we must first unite, and
then be friend with every party to reach the maximum resources. Therefore, Soon
Heng always try to create good rapport and relationship with various sectors. We
also try our best to perform the best, in order to gain confident of others.
Past experiences tell us, the best resource is the government. Our ancestors
had materialized Chung Hua School, cemetery with the assist and support from government.
Today, we learnt from those experiences and try our best to enhance it, so to
earn maximum benefit for the community by working hand in hand with the ruling
coalition.

Recently, on 9 April, by presenting a
comprehensive future plan of our temple to CM Adenan with assistance of YB
Francis, CM was impress with our plan and agreed to give the land beside our
temple for our future development. I am confident, this is not an election
gimmick, but is the belief of our current ruling coalition of peoples first and
cooperation.

As the election is coming soon, I am confident
that there is no controversial of BN candidate of Simanggang, because he is
chosen carefully and strictly by our beloved and futuristic CM Adenan. We
should be proud with Datuk Francis who has be in Adenan team earlier than
others. As Soon Heng has many future plans and need much money to materialize,
we still need him to be our representative in the house. I believe so you are.

sincere thanks to all of you, especially who had donated or commit to donate to
the fund. Please continue to donate and get as much blessing you can.

Last, but not least, as we learnt from our Soon
Heng ancestors, we must be good with the government and his man. This may
